Kariong Eyewatch Precinct

The NSW Government and NSW Police are Introducing Eyewatch to the Kariong Community.

Project Eyewatch aims to engage and mobilise active Neighbourhood Watch Groups using Facebook to participate with their local Police in active crime prevention.

Our 21st Century Neighbourhood Watch Communities can be organised in online precincts and the local Police will be providing information in real time to these groups and the public via Local Area Command open pages.

The NSW Govt believes this project will;

• Give the community greater access to our Police
• Real time engagement with Police
• Facilitate forums to find solutions
• Create an ability to provide feedback tp Police and
• Develop a highly valued community network

A Precinct Group for Kariong has been created and training is underway.

For those who would like to participate, click the “Ask to Join Group” and your info will be sent to us from Facebook.

Public Meeting 

The public presentation went well in the Hall on Woy Woy Road. Thanks to those who attended and we look forward to new members.
